Norfos Mažmena UAB opened its first store in 1997, in Vilnius.
In 2023, Norfa had a total of 157 supermarkets in Lithuania: 22 in Vilnius, 10 in Panevėžys, 7 in Klaipėda, 6 in Šiauliai, 5 in Kaunas, and at least one supermarket in almost all of the country's regional centres.
Norfa supermarkets are categorised into 5 formats: S, L, XL, XXL and Hyper. The store format (the smallest supermarkets are in the S category and the largest are in the Hyper category) depends on the size of the sales floor and product range.

In 2009, Norfos Mažmena opened the country's first NBAZĖ in Vilnius (176 Savanorių Ave.). This is the largest Norfa store in the country. The total area of NBAZĖ reaches 18 thousand m2. The total area of the Norfa supermarket reaches 9 thousand m2. This was the first Norfa to have an alcohol and tobacco wholesale section.
In 2023, the total floor area of Norfa stores reached about 230 thousand m2.
In 2024, the Norfa retail chain plans to open 10 new or renewed supermarkets.
In partnership with Swedbank and SEB bank, the latest card reading software was installed in Norfa stores, ensuring fast and efficient customer service.
All Norfa retail centres are licensed for alcohol and tobacco sales.
